To present the experience of their activities, it is necessary to form a portfolio of the class teacher. In it you can see the results of working with a classroom team, achievements and failures, systematize existing developments, archive. It will provide an opportunity to share lessons learned with colleagues, demonstrate their skills, create an advertisement for their activities.
Classroom Portfolio Types
It can be done both in paper and electronic versions. The electronic version has its advantages, these are:
- ease of editing material;
- convenient addition, filling with new results, diagnostics, methodological materials;
- long-term storage;
- Large selection of different design options.
The paper version of the classroom portfolio is also good. It can be read at any time without additional technical devices. For many, flipping pages of records is much nicer and more interesting than viewing presentations or e-books.
Portfolio Sections
Each author's work is compiled individually. It expresses the skill and creativity of the author. However, there are some general rules that must be followed by educators. Sections are necessarily included in the standard portfolio template of the class teacher:
- information about the education received, time, type of professional development, work experience;
- information about the classroom team (psychological and pedagogical characteristics of class students, composition and structure of students' self-government);
- knowledge of teaching methods and techniques;
- educational work planning;
- methodological work, participation in seminars, presentations, professional skill competitions, methodical exhibitions;
- personal achievements, achievements of pupils;
- the best developments of extracurricular activities;
- the system of work with the parent community, the composition of the parent asset of the class;
- performance analysis;
- long-term plan of educational and preventive work.
A young class teacher may have a small portfolio. However, it will be possible to see in it prospects, ways, means of achieving the goals of education. In the middle link, when the portfolio of the class teacher of grade 7 is filled, you can analyze the results of educational work. It also indicates the activities for the correction of activities. To the graduation class, the portfolio of the class teacher shows all the stages of the work done to form a citizen of his country.
Additional Portfolio Requirements
It’s good when the materials are accompanied by photo reports, copies of diplomas, letters, certificates of participants and winners of various competitions.
In the work of any class teacher, the main thing is the victories of his students. It is important to fix everything, take into account, analyze even small victories and achievements. A well-designed portfolio allows you to adjust the work in time, provides monitoring of professional activities, stimulates teachers to self-development.
