How to become a welder?
Work as a welder implies special education. You can usually get it at professional lyceums or colleges. In universities, the skills of a welder can be mastered by practicing at some enterprise. To enter such a college or university, you need to have a good knowledge of chemistry and physics: they underlie the work of a welder. You have to combine a variety of materials. Sometimes the media advertise that a welder with no work experience is required. On the one hand, this means that the company is ready to accept a young specialist who has just completed training. However, there is another side. Work as a welder is sometimes provided to persons who do not have not only experience, but also education. Is it good?
On the one hand, the future welder begins to immediately acquire professional skills and make money. A good mentor can quickly teach a beginner the basics of the profession. But in order for a welder to be able to lead to the pinnacle of professional skill (and, consequently, to significant earnings), practice alone is not enough. Because welding can be gas and electric, atomic-hydrogen and electro-slag. Each of them requires knowledge of materials, chemical and physical reactions, individual skills. And electron beam welding generally requires a good knowledge of physics. In addition, the work of welders in construction is very different from work, for example, in ship repair. All the specific knowledge needed for a broad specialist can only be obtained at an educational institution.

The main requirements for the profession are excellent health and patience. Welder - hard work. For a long time, specialists have to be in uncomfortable poses, in the cold or heat. In order to perform certain types of work (for example, welding ceiling seams), special dexterity and flexibility are required. A specialist can perform monotonous operations all day, sometimes be completely alone: that is what patience and attention are for. In addition, this activity is harmful to the eyes. Today, shift work is becoming increasingly popular. Recruitment agencies are usually involved in the recruitment of shift workers. What is the benefit of such a job? Firstly, they pay more for it. Secondly, after working on a shift (from two weeks to a month, depending on the enterprise), the worker can rest at home the same time. Many people find another occupation for this period, which allows them to earn even more.
