The employee must, first of all, take a responsible approach to the organization of the labor process to preserve his life and health, and prevent harm to others. It is strictly forbidden to start work at height under the influence of various kinds of drugs and substances (alcohol, drugs). Each specialist is required to have access to work at height and a medical report on the state of health. When climbing the roof, it is mandatory to use mechanisms, objects of protection and insurance (helmets, construction safety belts). Workers themselves must control the condition of the ropes and cables of the cradles and belts, since it is a question of their lives and health. The immediate supervisor (foreman, foreman) is also involved in the provision and monitoring of the state of the safety and lifting mechanisms.

Work with roofing is seasonal in nature, although in winter, before severe frosts, roof repairs and installation are also carried out.

Average earnings will depend on the length of service, organization and qualifications of the employee. The share of roofers among construction professions is 35-40%. The risk of being unemployed is minimal. If necessary, a specialist can apply the acquired skills in related professions (installer, tinsmith).
