How many different professions in the world! So much that we don’t even know which one to devote our lives to. And in order to understand whether this or that occupation is suitable for you or not, you need to get to know this occupation more closely, right?

Work as a customs declarant

Is this profession easy and what do people in this position do? So, the declarant is a person who moves goods across the customs border. Or so they call an intermediary who presents and presents goods or vehicles for customs clearance, but on his own behalf.

Who can be a declarant?

So, in the first case, the declarant is a citizen of a state that is a member of the Customs Union of the Eurasian Economic Community (CU EurAsEC). This person representing the state concludes a foreign economic transaction or the transaction is concluded on his behalf. In addition, this person has the obligatory right to use, possess and (or) dispose of goods (but this is subject to the condition that there was no foreign economic transaction).

There is another option. The declarant is an individual who moves goods across the border, not for sale, but for personal use. It can also be a citizen who enjoys customs privileges (established in accordance with Chapter 45 of the TC of the EurAsEC Customs Union). In some cases, a declarant is an organization that has a representative office in a country that is a member of the Customs Union of the Eurasian Economic Community in a clearly defined order - during customs procedures for the temporary import or export of goods already sold into the country for sale in other countries, as well as the customs procedure for the import of goods intended for own consumption of these representative offices.

In some cases, the declarant can be a carrier (including a customs one) or a forwarder (also if he is a representative of a state that is part of the EurAsEC CU).
